WELCOME to the Reinholdt Laboratory. We are interested in the development and application of both forward and reverse genetic approaches for understanding the etiology of genome variation and its role in health and disease – using the laboratory mouse as a model. We are engaged in both hypothesis-driven research, as well as applied research for the purpose of creating new genetic resources for the scientific community. Fittingly, our home is The Jackson Laboratory.
This website is a work in progress and is authored by me (Laura Reinholdt). Views expressed here are my own and accordingly, they do not represent the views of my employer or anyone else in my laboratory. In the meantime, enjoy this image of germ cells in the fetal testis – what happens to the genome in these cells (and in their female counterparts) has intergenerational impact. To us, this is the business end of genetics.
